Unapproved vaccine? The country sending back vaccines to China
The Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has asked the Chinese Embassy to take back 1,000 unapproved vaccines, after facing criticism for taking it in the first place.
The president received the jab himself but has since apologised saying “don’t follow in my footsteps”.
He also accepts that using an unapproved vaccine is very risky and not something that should be done.
This specific vaccine was one which workd by using killed viral particles to expose the body’s immune system to the virus without risking a serious disease response.
