The United States has warned Russia must choose “diplomacy or confrontation” following talks between NATO and the Kremlin

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Wendy Sharman made the warning after one of three diplomatic events designed to reduce tensions over Ukraine.

But Russia’s deputy foreign minister says Nato cannot “cherry-pick Moscow’s demands”…

which includes Ukraine never joining Nato.

Around 100-thousand Russian troops remain poised at the Ukrainian border… as fears of an imminent invasion grow.

In her statement, Sherman reiterated that neither the U-S nor other Nato members would ever agree to veto Ukrainian admission.

Sherman made it clear the military alliance had an open-door policy.. and noted there were areas where progress could be made… and it is up to Russia what happens next.
