Three men have been arrested under the UK’s terror laws following the explosion of a taxi outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital

The men, aged 29, 26 and 21 were detained in Kensington shortly after the incident occurred and are the key suspects.

The explosion happened at around 11 am local time on Sunday… and police don’t believe it was caused by a vehicle falt.

The taxi driver managed to escape the flames and is in hospital in a stable condition.

Authorities are now working to determine whether or not the blast was deliberate and if the location is of any significance.

The investigation is being led by counter-terrorism police who are being assisted by MI5, and they say they are “keeping an open mind” as to the cause.
