As the aviation sector recovers from the pandemic two U.S airlines are in a battle to buy budget carrier Spirit

JetBlue and Frontier are both bidding to snap up Spirit Airways…as they try to increase their share of the rebounding market.

The financial figures have been released, with JetBlue making an unsolicited offer of $33 per share in cash.

Meanwhile Frontier made a $25 per share bid back in February.

Talks between all carriers are continuing.
