Trump lawyer reveals indictment approach

Attorney Joe Tacopino says all legal options will be evaluated and pursue people “vigorously”

The lawyer for former U.S. President Donald Trump has revealed the approach the legal team will be taking to defend their client.

Trump was indicted late last week on charges filed against him, after an investigation into hush money payments to adult film actor Stormy Daniels.

A court hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, where the former President intends to plead not guilty to the charges.

Claims have also started to emerge that the Judge presiding over the case may have an issue with the former President.

Trump’s lawyer has clarified this stance.

“We are going to take the indictment, evaluate all our legal options, and pursue everyone most vigorously,” Joe Tacopino told CNN’s State of the Union.

“This is a case of political persecution.”

“Had he (Trump) not been running for office right now, he would not have been indicted.”

“My client has a right to have a go at everyone – he has been politically persecuted – and this should bother people,” Tacopino concluded.
