He asserted that conversations are progressing well, countering claims from the media about the negotiations.
The initial five-day pause, announced on Monday, was set to expire on Friday.
Military actions began on February 28 when the U.S. and Israel launched strikes against Iran.
These hostilities have resulted in rising oil prices, as Iran has effectively disrupted traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
On Thursday, the S&P 500 index fell by 1.74%, marking its largest drop since early 2026, while Brent crude futures increased to $108.01 per barrel.
