Donald Trump cashes in on indictment as his 2024 presidential campaign in full swing

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has arrived at Trump Tower in New York City ahead of his expected arraignment on Tuesday.

This comes as almost half of the United States believes he is facing political prosecution.

President Trump’s expected arraignment comes after the leading Republican presidential candidate for 2024, was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury on Thursday.

Alvin Bragg, the District Attorney – who campaigned on getting Donald Trump – has been investigating the 76-year-old for years over alleged hush money payments.

However, the Department of Justice previously looked at the case and declined to bring charges.

President Trump has long called the investigation a “witch-hunt.”

Meanwhile, Senator Marco Rubio says the indictment now opens the door for future district attorneys to launch similar probes for fame.

President Trump is expected to arrive at the courthouse in lower Manhattan at 11:00am on Tuesday and is expected to be arraigned at 2:15pm.

Immediately after, he is scheduled to fly back to Mar-a-Lago where he will deliver remarks to the nation at 8:15pm.

So far, the Trump campaign says they have raised over $7 million after the indictment was handed down just in three days ago.
