TikTok CEO Shou Chew is reportedly consulting Elon Musk regarding President-elect Trump’s upcoming second term.

Musk has supported Trump and maintained a close relationship with him, including visits to Mar-a-Lago.

Chew has contacted Musk multiple times for insights on Trump’s potential tech policies as TikTok faces a legal challenge against the Biden administration’s new law.

This law threatens to ban TikTok in the U.S. if its parent company, ByteDance, does not divest by January, citing national security concerns.

The Biden administration is worried about the Chinese government accessing U.S. user data through TikTok.

Before the election, ByteDance executives also reached out to Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump previously attempted to ban TikTok during his presidency but has recently signaled a more favorable position, suggesting Congress should decide on the app’s future.

He stated he intends to “save TikTok” in America and has encouraged followers to vote for him for this purpose.

Reports suggest Trump intends to reverse the ban once he is in office.

TikTok and Trump’s office have yet to comment on these developments.
