Third sailor found dead on a U.S. Navy vessel

Another U.S. sailor has been found dead, as a naval investigation begins

The deaths were reportedly from the U.S.S. George Washington, which is currently stationed in Virginia.

One sailor was found unresponsive on board the carrier last week. Meanwhile, two others were found in off-base locations earlier in the month.

“Our thoughts and condolences are with the family, friends, and shipmates of our sailors.”

The U.S. Navy says there is no initial information of the deaths being linked.

The U.S.S. George Washington.

The causes of deaths remain unknown. However, a mental health support team has been deployed to the vessel.

The nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, where it is part of an overhaul program to replace and refit its nuclear fuel system.
