The Reserve Bank of Australia is facing pressure to keep inflation under control as high spending continues to challenge the economy.
Speaking to Ticker, Zoran Kresovic from Blueberry Markets says further monetary tightening may be needed to bring inflation under control, arguing the RBA may need to “crush” demand.
Kresovic also points to weakness in the ASX 200 compared with global markets, with technology stocks particularly affected as the cost of capital rises.
Higher borrowing costs are also putting pressure on Australian businesses and homeowners, increasing the financial burden of servicing debt.
Meanwhile, Kresovic expects Bitcoin to trade between $90,000 and $95,000 in the short term as investors navigate shifting market conditions.
