Following the scandal at the Oscars, The Academy has released a statement condemning Will Smith’s actions at last night’s show

A formal review has officially kicked off with The Academy exploring further action and consequences in accordance with their Standards of Conduct and California law.

Meanwhile, Actor Will Smith was dancing the night away at a post-Oscars bash after causing the biggest scandal in the Academy Award’s 94-year history

The afterparty was organised by Vanity Fair magazine, which many celebrities attended.

Rock and Smith had a physical altercation on stage at the Oscars in one of the more stunning moments in television history.

Rock was presenting an award, he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith being in “G.I. Jane” because of her shaved head but the comment was triggering for the couple as Jada had suffered from alopecia.

As you just saw, although it appeared to be a joke at first, Smith returned to his seat and yelled at Rock, leaving stars in shock.

However, moments later, Will Smith himself won an Oscar himself for his role in King Richard.

Crude oil surges 7% amid fears of Middle East conflict; Strait of Hormuz disruptions may push Brent over $100.

Crude oil prices spiked dramatically as investors react to the growing risk of a wider conflict in the Middle East. U.S. crude surged 7.2 percent, trading near $71.84 a barrel, signalling heightened concern across energy markets.

The Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping chokepoint, has come under intense scrutiny. Rising war-risk insurance premiums and suspended tanker traffic are already slowing the movement of oil, creating ripple effects in global supply chains.

JPMorgan has warned that prolonged disruptions over three weeks could force Gulf producers to reduce output, potentially pushing Brent crude prices to between $100 and $120 a barrel. Markets are closely watching for developments that could reshape global energy pricing.
