Elon Musk and Tesla are looking to expand its public relations and legal teams in China after a string of negative press.
The car manufacture is looking to fill external affairs positions who among many other things will work on improving government relations.
The company is also hiring more public relations mangers in five cities.
Tesla has faced numerous setbacks due to safety and customer service issues.
Data recently released showed Tesla’s shipments of China-made cars to the local market plunged 69 percent in July.
