Volkswagen has backed Tesla’s push a tax cut on electric vehicle imports in India
The parties say the move would help the entire industry and wouldn’t pose threat to domestic players.
Tesla recently called on India to cut tariffs on EVs, with Musk tweeting he would be “quite likely” to build a factory in the country if the carmaker can first begin selling imported vehicles
India currently has high tax for foreign automakers with Toyoto saying it will not expand in the country and Harley Davidson pulling out of the country entirely.
