Tesla is dominating the electric vehicle market, with its sales in China topping a new record, thanks to an upgrade at its Shanghai factory

According to a newly released report, the EV maker sold over 80,000 China-made vehicles in September alone.

Far exceeding its monthly sales, the Chinese factory has increased its business by 8% for the month.

Tesla has been pumping money into its Chinese production line recently, after pro-longed covid lockdowns halted deliveries.

And it’s no surprise sales are up, the factory mainly produces Model 3s and Model Ys, which are two of the top performers for the U.S. car giant.
