Tesla is demanding videos of its autopilot vehicles crashing into child-sized mannequins be taken down

In a commercial created by an advocacy group, the footage urges Tesla’s full Self-Driving Beta software be banned due to safety concerns.

The software is designed to enable vehicles to manoeuvre through cities and residential streets, automatically changing lanes and steering.

The commercial led to a surge in news articles, criticising the EV maker and its ability to create safe self-driving cars.

But Tesla says the footage is defamatory and misrepresents its most advanced driver-assistance features.

On the other side of the argument, Tesla lovers say the test could have been manipulated.
