Tesla has applied for a massive $700 million expansion of its Gigafactory Texas in Austin.
In four seperate filings, Tesla wants to add a battery production division, and a production line dedicated to the Cybertruck.
In the future, Tesla may also build the Bot and the Semi from the location.
The facility will help to secure electric vehicle manufacturing in the U.S., as well as be less dependent on foreign suppliers for products.
