US company T-Mobile is investigating claims of a data breach, where hackers are reportedly selling data in exchange for Bitcoin
Data from 100 million people could be compromised, including social security numbers, addresses, and drivers license information.
The company is looking into a post on a forum that claims to be selling the personal data.
In the post, hackers are asking for 6 bitcoin for 30 social security numbers and drivers licenses.
“We do not have any additional information to share at this time,”
The company says they are aware of the claims and are investigating the “underground forum”.
