Smartphone sales in China suffer biggest fall

China’s smartphone sales fell 13 per cent compared to the previous year

 
This is the biggest fall in over a decade, as consumers opted to spend cautiously.

Only 286 million devices were shipped last year, compared to almost 330 million the year prior.

Android handset makers Vivo and Honor took the top two spots – Apple and Oppo were the the equal-third ranked brands.

The California-based company was down due to supply chain issues and worker unrest at one of its major plants in Southern China.
