Sierra Leone is holding a mass burial for the 115 people killed in the fuel tanker explosion on Friday.

The ceremony occurred in the capital of Freetown with the chosen cemetery being the same one where hundreds were buried after dying from a mudslide in 2017.

The fire that was caused by a fuel leak at a buys junction has burnt many of the dead beyond recognition.

Hundreds more remain injured and are in dire need of blood transfusions with blood supplies in the country at risk of running out within 3 days.

The President has called for a 3-day national mourning and is inquiring into the disaster to make recommendations on how to avoid something similar in the future.
