Camille Vasquez is arguably one of the most famous lawyers in the world right now after thrusting into the public eye during Johnny Depp’s heated trial with ex-wife Amber Heard
At the start of the month the Jury reached a verdict in favour of Depp, pushing Vasquez’s status as a lawyer even further
In fact, she was quickly promoted to firm partner after representing the Pirates of the Caribbean actor.
Her days of standing by Johnny aren’t over, Camille Vasquez will now represent Depp for the second time for a lawsuit with a former colleague named Gregg ‘Rocky’ Brooks.
Brooks filed a Personal Injury lawsuit against the actor in LA in 2018.
He has accused Depp of punching him twice in the rib cage in April 2017 while the pair were working together on the film set of the crime drama City of Lies.
Brooks alleges Depp also asked him to punch him back but in the face, supposedly offering him $100,000 to do so.
He also claimed the actor smelt of alcohol when they had a supposed run in over how long left they had to shoot a scene in downtown Los Angeles.
Depp has argued the injuries Brooks incurred were because the location manager ‘provoked’ others.
The trial is currently set to commence on July 25th.
Alec Baldwin reaches settlement with family of ‘Rust’ victim
Alec Baldwin recaches settlement with family of ‘Rust’ victim, one year on from the tragic incident
Alec Baldwin has reached a settlement with the family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who he fatally shot while shooting the film ‘Rust’.
Hutchins’ husband, Matthew agreed that his wife’s death was a “terrible accident” and isn’t interested in “attributing blame.”
As part of the deal, he will become the executive producer for the film.
Rust will recommence filming again in January, with Matthew saying he is determined to honour his late wife’s work.
Following the settlement, Baldwin’s lawyer took to Instagram saying “we are grateful to everyone who contributed to the resolution of this tragic and painful situation.”
“Throughout this difficult process, everyone has maintained the specific desire to do what is best for Halyna’s son,” the post added.
Other finer details of the settlement are yet to be disclosed, as they await court approval.
The final police report on the shooting is expected later this month. At this time, prosecutors will decide whether criminal charges are warranted.
District attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said “if the facts and evidence warrant criminal charges”, then “charges will be brought.”
No one is above the law,” a statement issued on behalf of Carmack-Altwies added.

Speaking at a wildlife protection summit in London, William called for more action to combat the illegal trade in wildlife products.
He says the illegal trade is worth an estimated $20 billion annually, and he urged businesses and law enforcement agencies to do more to stop it.
The speech signals the royal family will continue to champion environmental causes, as King Charles III is forced to step back from public activism.
The Prince and his Royal Foundation have long made protecting wildlife a key focus of their work, and they are likely to continue this work in the years to come.
Meanwhile, William also used the opportunity to pay tribute to his late Granny.
