Sergey Lavrov arrived in New Delhi on Thursday, where he will also meet with India’s External Affairs Minister.

India has declined to take a stance on the unfolding conflict in Ukraine. it has abstained from several UN votes to denounce Russia’s violence in the nation.

India welcomes foreign leaders

India has welcomed several foreign leaders to the country this week with various discussions on Ukraine taking place.

UK Foreign Secretary Elizabeth Truss also met with the nation’s External Affairs Minister, where she pointed out how countries across the world have stepped up to slam Russia.

US State Department spokesperson, Ned Price says every country has its own relationship with Russia.
