Who is responsible for five rockets fired at Kabul airport?

Published

US officials say as many as five rockets were fired at Kabul’s main international airport as evacuation efforts wrap up

It’s believed that ISIS-K militants were likely behind the weapons launching, but it is still too early to know for sure.

No casualties were reported, with the automated “C-RAM” defence system detecting the incoming rockets and taking them out before they touched down.

This system has previously been relied upon in both Afghanistan and Iraq to protect American special forces.

This rocket strike comes just days after ISIS-K suicide bombers killed over 170 people, and wounded at least 200
