Putin scores 8 goals, intimidates opposition

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has scored 8 goals in an ice hockey match – with his team winning 13-9.

The Russian leader scored his first goal within 30 seconds of the game starting.

It’s no the first time Putin has carried his team to victory. Some analysts suggest his opponents may be a little intimidated.

VLADIMIR IS NUMBER 11

Wearing full ice hockey kit and a #11 shirt, Putin played in front of an audience gathered for the indoor gala event at Sochi.

Set up in 2011, the league brings together former ice hockey stars, businessmen and Russian politicians. The last time Putin played was in 2019, when he scored eight goals.

Participants in the event on Monday included Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and Moscow region governor Andrei Vorobyev.

Putin is well known for his government’s human rights abuses.

But in this match, Vladamir Putin took home the trophy.
