Taking to the streets and clashing with police, demonstrators say this was an accident waiting to happen.

They were stationed at the headquarters of Hellenic Train – the company responsible for maintaining the nation’s railways.

A station master has been arrested and charged with manslaughter following the deadly train collision in Greece as the nation’s prime minister blames ‘human error’.

Police say at least three of the derailed cars caught fire.
