Poland will send four Soviet-era Mig-29 fighter jets to Ukraine in the coming days.

The nation will become the first NATO country to send planes since Russia invaded last year.

President Andrzej Duda says more will be handed over in the future.

Other NATO countries are also considering sending the Soviet-era planes, which Ukrainian pilots are trained to fly.

Ukraine has previously asked Western nations for modern fighter jets, as well as training pilots on newer equipment.
