New Zealand is opening its border to vaccinated New Zealanders in Australia

From February 27 they will be able to travel home without having to undergo quarantine… while New Zealanders in other countries will be allowed the same right a fortnight later.

Vaccinated backpackers, some skilled workers and international students will then be permitted into the country between March and April and allowed to self-quarantine instead of being forced into state isolation facilities.

Australians will be allowed entry into New Zealand in July with the rest of the world being allowed into the country in October.

This marks the first stage of the gradual border reopening, with the five stages to be completed by October.
