North Korea fires another ballistic missile

This is the sixth rocket the nation has fired off this year alone

North Korea has fired off another ballistic missile – number six this year alone.

The Japanese Defence Ministry says the missile fell into the waters off the Sea of Japan, outside the nation’s exclusive economic zone.

An extended flight time suggests the missile was one of North Korea’s long-range weapons.

It was fired with a high trajectory to avoid flying over neighbouring countries.

North Korea has fired several missiles this week, ahead of joint U.S. and South Korean military drills.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump says these military drills are the reason why the North is acting out.
