Nine dead after private jet crashes in Dominican Republic

Nine people have been killed after a private aircraft crashed while making an emergency landing in the Dominican Republic

Seven passengers and two crew members died in the incident. Six were foreign nationals and one was Dominican.

Among the victims was Puerto Rican music producer, as well as his wife and their child.

The flight was en route to Florida from when it made the emergency landing and crashed just 15 minutes after takeoff.

The cause of the crash or the emergency landing remains unknown.
