Bitcoin Bonus: Landmark Crypto deal with NFL star
The link between major sports stars and Crypto-currency just got a whole lot stronger!!
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence will almost certainly be picked up at number one in the upcoming draft, and he’s about to get paid in Bitcoin.
Lawrence announced a multi-year deal with Blockfolio, a popular cryptocurrency portfolio tracker.
The investment app said they gave Lawrence a “significant” signing bonus on Friday that has already gained in value over the weekend.
A big part of his signing bonus will be paid in cryptocurrency including Ethereum and Solana, which will be deposited directly into his Blockfolio account.
Bitcoin and other crypto’s rallied on Monday after a rough week, jumping around 8 per cent.
The deal is the first of its kind.
