Netflix games arrives on Apple iPhones and iPads

After successfully launching its gaming service on Android, Netflix has now officially enabled its new games feature on iOS

The new Netflix games service gives users access to a selection of mobile games to play – without ads or in-app purchases.

The five launch games already available as individual downloads from the app store where confirmed in a tweet from Bloomberg report Mark Gurman. Among the new games include Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Teeter (Up), and Card Blast.

There has been concern surrounding the rollout of Netflix Games on Apple devices, particularly surrounding the strict polices when it comes to the Apple App store including a policy that typically prevents third-party apps from acting as storefronts for apps.

Other cloud gaming platforms, like Microsoft xCloud, Nvidia Geforce Now, Google Stadia, and Facebook Gaming, have struggled to find footing on iOS due to Apple’s demanding App Store restrictions.

Netflix games has been the latest addition from the streaming giant, as they attempt to reach into a whole new market.
