The man accused of abducting four-year-old Cleo Smith in Western Australia has pleaded guilty to a charge of child stealing
Terence Darrell Kelly appeared at Carnarvon Magistrates Court via video link this morning, local time from a maximum-security Prison in the state’s capital of Perth.
The 36-year-old was imprisoned two days after Cleo was found locked in a room in his home.
Cleo had been held captive for 18 days at his house only a few streets away from her own home where she lived with her mother, step father and baby sister.
Terrence Darrell Kelly will be sentenced at a later date but for now he has been remanded in custody.
