New changes to mask rules are set to benefit many industries, as many in the United States will soon feel a sense of normality

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has officially advised that fully vaccinated individuals will no longer be required to wear masks outdoors and can avoid wearing them indoors in most places. The agency stating that this updated guidance will allow life to begin to return to normal.

The CDC also said fully vaccinated people will not need to physically distance in most places. The agency also hopes the guidance will encourage more Americans to get vaccinated, as many still feel hesitant

Biden went on to state that “If you’re fully vaccinated and can take your mask off, you’ve earned the right to do something that Americans are known for all around the world: greeting others with a smile,” he said, flashing a brief smile himself.

Business to benefit

Many industries will benefit from changes made by the CDC’s regulation.

The travel sector is again expecting to feel an uptick in bookings, and multiple hospitality venues say the relaxed rules will enable people to feel more at ease to get back out and dine.

Support for new guidance rules

Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease doctor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, said he supports the new guidance that many had been calling for.

“People in state health departments and infectious disease doctors have been saying this for some time because they’re so impressed with the effectiveness of the vaccine”

Dr. Schaffner went onto say that American’s who have made the decision to get vaccinated should be rewarded for their efforts.
