There’s a new all-time NBA points scoring leader
Lebron James will now hold the record after scoring 38 points against the Oaklahoma City Thunder, overtaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
The 38-year-old got the record late in the third quarter, and the game was paused to celebrate the achievement.
James revealed the way in which some people wanted him to score the bucket to take the record.
“Some people wanted me to do the sky hook (Abdul-Jabbar’s famous move), but I’m happy to have the record,” James said in a post-match press conference to celebrate the achievement.
