Kevin Spacey is vowing to fight tooth and nail to prove his innocence after British police charged the disgraced actor with five counts of sexual assault

Authorities are requesting 62-year-old Kevin Spacey return to the United Kingdom voluntarily or face possible extradition.

Now, while the Oscar winner is accused of historic sexual assaults, he can only be formally charged if he returns to the country.

In a statement, Spacey says he intends to fight the allegations and will ‘voluntarily appear’ in the United Kingdom to do so.

Spacey is pleading with the public to allow a fair trial, and notes he is innocent until proven guilty.

Last week, police moved ahead with the charges, which cons four counts of sexual assault on three males, now all in their 30s and 40s.

There is also a fifth count, with allegations, that Spacey forced one of the victims to engage in penetrative sex without consent.

This charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
