Kamala Harris’ comms director exits key role

US Vice President Kamala Harris’ Communications Director is leaving the administration to pursue “other opportunities”

Ashley Etienne, the Communications Director for the Vice President announced the resignation on Thursday.

A White House Officials says Ashley Etienne “is a valued member of the team”, and has “worked tirelessly to advance the goals of this administration.”

Her exit comes after a CNN report detailed significant tension between West Wing aides and the Vice President’s office. 

CNN reports that several people on Harris’ staff were looking to leave their jobs.

Sources close to the matter believe there are no immediate plans to replace Kamala Harris’s communications director Ashley Etienne 

Before joining the Biden Administration, Etienne  was a senior adviser to the Biden Presidential campaign.
