Israel embassy in Singapore slams social media posts comparing Covid-19 policies to Holocaust

Israel’s embassy in Singapore has condemned social media posts comparing the city-state’s COVID-19 vaccinations to the Holocaust

It follows an opposition figure making the analogy on Facebook and Instagram.

It’s not the first time that Brad Bowyer’s anti-COVID posts have caused controversy for slamming social distancing and the vaccine.

With 72 per cent of its 5.7 million people fully inoculated, Singapore this week began implementing ‘bifurcated social gathering policies’ for vaccinated and unvaccinated residents.

“The embassy of Israel in Singapore strongly condemns recent posts circulating on social media likening the vaccination campaign and other vaccine-related issues to the Holocaust,”

the embassy said.
Bowyer resigned from Singapore’s Progress Party.

Bowyer has since resigned from Singapore’s Progress Party

Apart from Bowyer, Goh Meng Seng – a member of another fringe opposition party – has in recent days put up posts invoking the Nazi regime.
