Hollywood mourns the loss of iconic actor Carl Weathers, renowned for his portrayal of Apollo Creed in the legendary ‘Rocky’ film series.

Weathers, aged 76, passed away peacefully at his home, leaving behind a legacy that will live on through the roles that made him a beloved figure in the hearts of moviegoers.

Weathers was best known for playing Apollo Creed alongside Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa in the hit movie franchise of the 1970s and 1980s.

Other prominent roles include his characters in the recent “Star Wars” spinoff series “The Mandalorian”, and the 1987 sci-fi horror movie “Predator”.

In a video tribute, long-time co-star and friend, Sylvester Stallone said he was “torn up” at the sudden passing of Weathers.

“When he walked into that room, and I saw him for the first time, I saw greatness,”

“…I never could have accomplished what we did with Rocky without him.”, said Stallone.
