Gabby Petito’s parents have filed a $50 million lawsuit against the Moab Police Department

Gabby Petito’s parents have filed a $50 million lawsuit against the Moab Police Department, following the brutal death of their daughter.

The legal action claims the officers failed to act appropriately when called to a domestic dispute weeks prior to the 22-year-old’s death.

Bodycam footage shows the officers approaching Petito and her boyfriend Brian Laundrie.

The lawsuit claims the officers “improperly determined Petito was the primary aggressor” before letting the pair go.

Petito was later killed by Laundrie, in a domestic abuse case that rippled through America.

Her parents insist the police failed to protect their daughter and hope to ensure officers are further educated on domestic abuse situations.
