At least four people have been killed and multiple others injured in a shooting at a birthday party in Alabama.

The shooting in the rural town of Dadeville unfolded around 10:30pm local time.

The Sweet 16 party turned into a nightmare when at least 15 teenagers were shot and wounded.

One of the victims killed was a stellar high school football player and the brother of the birthday girl, the football team’s chaplain, and the DJ at the party when the gunfire broke out.

Dadeville Police Department chief says he doesn’t want this shooting to define the small community.

President Joe Biden released a statement calling on Congress to enact “common sense” gun control.

This is in response to shootings over the weekend in Alabama and Kentucky that left a total of six people dead.

Biden says: “Jill and I are praying for their families, and for the many others injured and fighting for their lives in the wake of this weekend’s gun violence.” #trending #featured
