Lars Findsen was the head of the nation’s foreign intelligence service and has been named as one of four people arrested in December.
The details of the arrests were released to the public following a court in Copenhagen lifting a gag order.
Denmark’s spy agency says the arrests occurred following “a long investigation of leaks” within intelligence services.
The trial into the actions of the four accused is ongoing… and they have each been charged under section 109 of the Danish Criminal Code… which carries a maximum sentence of 12 years in prison.
