A recent survey reveals that 7.7 million people, are dealing with Christmas debt long after the season ends.

 

In the aftermath of the festive season, a recent survey by Finder.com, Australia’s leading comparison site, reveals that a staggering 38% of Australians find themselves grappling with Christmas debt.

Younger generations, especially Gen Z (55%) and millennials (43%), heavily relied on credit for holiday spending.

For those grappling with credit card debt, she suggests considering a balance transfer for temporary relief, along with the option of seeking free financial counseling through the National Debt Helpline at 1800 007 007.
