FAA urges airports to get tough on alcohol sales

The U-S aviation watchdog has urged airports to discourage the sale of takeaway alcohol to put an end to the rise of assaults on flight attendants.

The Federal Aviation Authority has received over 3,500 reports of rowdy passengers this year alone, with more than 70 percent relating to mask requirements on flights.

It follows nearly 1 in 5 flight attendants reporting a “physical incident” on board.

The FAA says airports should help address the disorderly behavior on planes following a rise in travelers taking the skies following a slump in 2020.
