Germany’s health minister has issued his starkest warning on the importance of being vaccinated against Covid-19 as the country battles a deadly fourth wave

During a news conference on Thursday, the minister said “by the end of this winter everyone in Germany will either be vaccinated, recovered or dead”.

Cases throughout the country are rising rapidly… with the infection rate at its highest level since the pandemic began and many hospitals already full.

Over the past 24 hours, there have been 30-thousand new infections, which is 7-thousand more than a week ago.

Germany has one of the lowest vaccination rates in all of Europe… with around 68 percent of the eligible population fully vaccinated against the virus.

To curb the virus, the government will introduce tougher restrictions… which will see unvaccinated excluded from certain venues.

Covid vaccines will not be mandatory at this stage, but the health minister says getting jabbed is a “moral obligation”.

Man in 20s dies after breaching Mar-a-Lago, armed; Secret Service opened fire, citing no immediate danger inside.

A man in his early 20s has been shot and killed after breaching the secure perimeter at President Trump’s Mar a Lago residence in Florida, according to the Secret Service. Officials say the president and first lady Melania Trump were in Washington DC at the time of the incident.

Authorities report the man was armed with a shotgun and a petrol canister when he approached the north gate. He was confronted by a sheriff’s deputy and two Secret Service agents who ordered him to drop the items before the situation rapidly escalated.

After putting down the petrol can, the man allegedly pointed the shotgun at officers, who then opened fire. Law enforcement says there was no immediate danger to anyone inside the property.
