Elon Musk has canceled a proposed partnership with former CNN anchor Don Lemon’s new show on X shortly after their interview.

Lemon revealed the news on X, stating that the cancellation occurred “hours after an interview I conducted with him on Friday.”

The interview, which was intended to be the premiere episode of Lemon’s show on X, will now air on YouTube instead.

Lemon’s questioning

Reports suggest that Musk was displeased with Lemon’s questioning about his alleged ketamine use during the interview.

Despite Musk’s previous encouragement for Lemon to join X with a new show, the cancellation came as a shock to Lemon, who had agreed to work with Musk based on promises of significant support from X.

Lemon expressed disappointment in Musk’s decision, noting that he had asked respectful and wide-ranging questions during their interview, covering topics from SpaceX to the presidential election.

However, Musk evidently had a different perspective on the conversation.

CNN on X

Responding to Lemon’s posts, Musk criticized Lemon’s approach, likening it to “CNN, but on social media,” and suggesting that it lacked authenticity.

X issued a statement explaining its decision not to enter into a commercial partnership with Lemon’s show, citing the platform’s right to make business decisions.

Despite the setback, Lemon remains determined to share details of what transpired with Musk and hinted at future revelations.

The cancellation has sparked debate and discussion among users on the platform.
