A U.S. House committee has approved a motion to release materials on Donald Trump’s taxes

Former U.S. President Donald Trump will have his tax filings released in the coming days, after years of secrecy.

A U.S. House of Representatives committee voted to release the partially redacted documents.

Mr Trump has fought the release of his tax information for years.

U.S. President have typically released their tax information for several decades. However, Mr Trump vowed to keep his a secret as he made his presidential bid, which ultimately led to his rise as the U.S. president in 2016.

Mr Trump reported heavy business losses to offset millions of dollars in income.

Earlier this month, the Trump Organisation was found guilty of a 15-year criminal scheme to defraud tax authorities.

While Mr Trump is not personally liable, his company faces $1.6 million in fines. He believes the case is politically motivated and will appeal the ruling.

Trump claims Iran’s military largely neutralized; tensions rise with attacks threatening air travel and oil shipping.

President Trump says Iran’s military capability has been largely neutralised, including its navy and air force, as the conflict in the Middle East intensifies. Iranian attacks have threatened commercial air travel and oil shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of wider economic fallout.

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has faced two attacks, while Gulf states worked to intercept further Iranian strikes. Officials report six U.S. troops killed and more than 700 deaths inside Iran as the exchange of fire escalates.

With global markets watching closely, the region remains on edge as military and diplomatic tensions show no signs of easing.
