Police body cameras were once touted as a saving grace
Six Memphis Police Department officers and two emergency medical technicians have been disciplined for their involvement in the death of Ty-re Nichols.
The officers pulled over the individual on suspicion of reckless driving.
Video footage shows them yanking Nichols out of his car, delivering blow after blow.
He died three days later, with the beating fuelling calls for broad police reform.
