Disney has resolved a legal dispute with actress Scarlett Johansson
It follows the release of the ‘Black Widow’ movie, where Johansson sued Disney, accusing the entertainment giant of breaching her contract.
Disney offered the film on its streaming platform Disney+ at the same time the film was playing in theatres.
Her complaint argued that the dual-release strategy had reduced her compensation, which was based on box office sales from an exclusive run in cinemas.
At the time, Disney said there was “no merit” to the lawsuit and asserted that the studio had complied with terms of Johansson’s contract.
The terms of the resolved dispute were not disclosed.
