In the US, a Democratic Senator has come under fire for visiting Qatar for the World Cup.

Senator Chris Murphy traveled to the UAE, but faced backlash for calling Qatar’s foreign minister his friend.

Now Senator Murphy is trying to set the record straight, telling CNN that Qatar is a complicated partner.
