Couple jailed for stealing 45 bottles of wine, valued at over $1.7 million
A former Mexican beauty queen is ditching the catwalk for a jail cell.
The fashionista and her partner have been sentenced to four years behind bars for stealing 45 bottles of wine, worth around $1.7 million.
The incident took place in 2021 at a hotel where the pair were staying, but they fled the scene and were later arrested in Croatia.
The pair placing the wine in their backpacks, including one 19th Century vintage, which has not been recovered.
The couple will have the chance to appeal their sentence.
