Climate protestor crashes Louis Vuitton fashion show
The Louis Vuitton fashion show in Paris certainly made a statement on Tuesday after an Extinction Rebellion protestor pushed her way onto the runway
The Youth for Climate activist carried a sign reading “overconsumption equals extinction” highlighting the environmental impacts of overconsumption.
The crowd seemed calm during her debut, taking out their phone to film the spectacle.
Three climate activist groups were mentioned at the bottom of the protester’s sign and have publicly aligned themselves with the action: the French chapters of Extinction Rebellion, Youth for Climate, and Friends of the Earth. A group of protesters with signs also gathered outside the Louvre, where the show took place.
The protestor was soon after wrestled to the ground by security and removed from the runway.
